Min. Cuttie Bacon

Cuttie W. Bacon IV  was licensed to preach the Gospel of Our Risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on September 25, 2012, at the hand of Presiding Elder Louis-Charles Harvey of the Potomac District Conference, Washington Annual Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Bacon’s professional career spans nearly 25 years at the US Department of Veterans Affairs, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the US Department of Energy. It includes legal research, budget analysis, administrative and human capital management, contracts and procurement, faith‐based initiatives and e-Government. Mr. Bacon has served or currently serves on the boards of Kentucky State University; Concerned Black Men of Washington, DC; Village Learning Center Public Charter School; Frankfort JAYCEES, Beltway Cougars AAU; Kettering‐Largo‐Mitchellville Boys and Girls Club and the  Perrywood Elementary School PTA.

He has been recognized for outstanding achievement by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He has served as Area Director of Alpha Phi Alpha in Washington DC. He was recognized as JAYCEE of the Year.  He has been listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities and The National Dean’s List, twice. He is the co‐author of four books on finance authored by his father Dr. Cuttie W. Bacon III. He has lectured groups across the country on topics ranging from finance to career planning to faith. He is a graduate of the Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Executive Institute.  He is a fourth‐generation graduate of The Kentucky State University from which he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and Averett University where he earned an MBA with honors. Mr. Bacon is an avid car buff.  Mr. Bacon has been married to the former LaRita Howard for almost 20 years. This union has been blessed with three children and one Weimaraner.
