Rev. Phillip D. Jackson
Rev. Phillip D. Jackson, is a native of Miami, Florida, who spent 10 years in the United States Army Medical Corp. as a Medical Specialist and a Physical Therapist Assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Wilberforce University, and a Masters of Divinity Degree from Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio.
Rev. Jackson is certified in Cognitive Restructuring, parenting, anger management and domestic violence classes where he taught at District of Columbia Dept. of Correction and Petersburg Federal Correction Facility
He was appointed Senior Pastor of Life Change AME Church in Columbia, Maryland in April 2014. Prior to pastoring at Life Change AME; Rev. Jackson served on the ministerial staff of Ebenezer AME Church in Ft. Washington, Maryland for 9 years; served as pastor at Shorter Chapel AME in South Charleston Ohio for 4 years; served as Program Director for Reintegrating Alternative Personnel Program (R.A.P.P.) Inc. in Washington D.C. from 2006 – 2014. R.A.P.P. is a reentry program designed to aide returning citizen from prison to reintegrate back into the community as law-abiding citizens.
Rev. Jackson is a man of faith and believes that Jesus is the road map of life and following him leads to an abundant and transformative life. He believes in meeting people where they are and guiding them where God will have them go.
Rev. Jackson is happily married to Rev. Karen D. Jackson (20 years) and they are the proud parents of (3) children: Keith, Philip II, and Destinee; and (3) grandchildren Philip III, Zaïre, and Madison.
