Rev. Karen D. Jackson
Rev. Karen D. Jackson is a native of Washington D.C. In 1994, she joined Ebenezer AME Church and served under the dynamic team ministry of the Rev. Dr. Grainger and JoAnn Browning. There she used her gifts and talents serving faithfully with many ministries of the church; Married Couples Ministry, Usher Ministry, Ministry of Helps and Daughters of Anna Prayer team.
In 2000, Rev. Jackson matriculated to Wilberforce Ohio, where she received her Bachelor of from Wilberforce University, in Organizational Management and she received her Masters of Divinity degree from Payne Theological Seminary, both located in Wilberforce, Ohio. During her studies at Payne, she was honored to receive the Presiding Elder Cornelia Wright AME Scholarship for preaching women.
As an Itinerant preacher in 2nd Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, she serves as Assistant Pastor alongside her husband, Rev. Phillip Jackson, Senior Pastor of Life Change AME Church, Columbia, Maryland.
She believes she is on a Christian journey and stands firmly on the promises of God. Her favorite scripture, which she often quotes, is Proverb 3:5 and 6, “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to thy own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge God and God will direct your path”.
Rev. Karen Jackson is married to Rev. Phillip Jackson, Sr. Pastor, and are the proud parents of three children, Keith, Phillip II, and Destinee. They have two grandsons Phillip III and Zaire and granddaughter Madison Denise.
