Those are just a few of the titles she is blessed to hold. But the most important title of them all is one unmentioned: Child of the Most High God.
If you’re looking for perfection, wrong location. If you’re looking for the self-proclaimed smartest, look again! But if you’re looking for a woman who’s allowed her failures and mistakes to catapult her into a God-ordained place, you’ve then found the one and only Regina Clay.
Being baptized at the age of 12, she always took her Christian walk seriously. At an early age, she understood it’s importance and how my relationship with Christ would take her so very far. So she learned to depend on Him, even throughout adolescence and into young adult years. She began serving at St. John Baptist Church in the youth choir, and transitioned in my adult years. Then, she functioned extensively in the A.M.E. Church, answering the call to ministry in 1999. It was under the leadership of Bishop Frank Madison Reid, III (Bethel A.M.E. Church) that she preached her initial sermon.
Regina received her first Pastoral assignment on April 14, 2018 to New Queen Esther A.M.E. Church in Easton, MD. She currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Life Change AME Church in Columbia, MD. But now that we’ve gone through all the formalities, allow me to just tell you who Regina Clay really is. Aside from the degrees and the pastoring, aside from the daughter and mother, aside from the entrepreneur, she is one woman who is determined and destined to live full and die empty!
She knows that God has placed her in the earth for such a time as this. And everything that’s happened to her, by her, or for her was always meant to lead her closer to God! There are things that have occurred in her life that she may not be as excited about, BUT GOD! There are times she cried and didn’t know her right from her left, BUT GOD! There have been days that she wanted to give up and walk away from who she KNOWS she was called to be, BUT GOD!
